How to use the mobile service of OCR and text translation?
Home page of the service of OCR and text translation for mobile devices is located at:
Type this address exactly in the browser of your cell phone or other mobile device, and open the appropriate page.
1) First you need to upload an image containing the text. To do this, click Browse (or Select, the button name depends on the type of browser, this is the first button on the form in any case).
By pressing this button you will open the file manager of the phone and will be able to select an image already existing in the mobile, or immediately make a new photo, selecting the appropriate menu item ("Photos from a camera" or similar), which will be uploaded to the server.
Photos for upload must be in jpg, gif, png, wbmp formats (usually it is always true, and no special action to perform is not necessary).
You may also select directly the text file (txt).
Maximum upload size should not exceed 2MB.
2) Next, please select the desired direction of translation (Ru-En, En-Ru or others)
3) Click Send to upload images to the server or Clear if you want to select another photo.
After that, the image is uploaded to the server, where it is processed to improve the quality and automatically recognize text. A translation of the recognized text makes with GOOGLE on-line translator. The maximum size of the text for translation is 32 000 characters. Mobile OCR & Translation service is free to translate the text up to 250 characters.
4) Upon completion of the recognition and translation your phone will display the page with the translation of the first 250 characters of text. If the number of characters in the original text is no more than this value, the translation is displayed in full.
5) If you are satisfied with the result and you want to get a full translation, you need to send an SMS costing only $ 0.5. It is proposed you to choose a country where your mobile operator is located. It is determined automatically, and normally you just confirm by pressing OK. If automatic selection is incorrect, you can change it using the drop-down list.
On the next page you need select your mobile operator from the list of operators that support this service, and then click OK.
Then the page will be loaded from which you can send SMS in a semi-automatic mode by clicking on the proposed link, or manually. On clicking the SMS does not go away immediately, the standard SMS manager of your phone is called and you may verify all information and then confirm sending.
In manual mode you can type the same data by yourself.
For facilitation of using the uppercase and lowercase letters and symbols 'O' and 0 (zero) are equivalent.
6) In the reply SMS you receive an access code to the translation which have to be entered on the home page of the service for mobile http://mocrt.e-ur.asia/up/ in the bottom half of page, under the upload form.
7) As a result, your mobile will display the page with full text translation.
